The church was established by immigrants from the state of Kerala, in India. The congregation was started by Very Rev. Fr. Bobby Joseph as a home church in June, 1986 and later on moved to a rental facility. In April 2005, St. Mary's Syriac Orthodox Church was able to buy a property of its own, in Stone Mountain, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. Church operations and Sunday services are being offered from the new facility in Stone Mountain from September of 2005.
The new church facility is conveniently accessible from I-85. We welcome you to visit the church and join us in worship services according to the ancient traditions of the Syriac Orthodox Church.
