The Marathi Kala Mandal of Greater Washington is a non-profit, tax exempt organization that helps maintain the cultural heritage of Maharashtra, a western State in India. The Mandal has an active Childrens Group as well as an active Youth Group for high school and college students that provides them an opportunity to maintain their cultural heritage, to serve the elders in the community, and enjoy the outdoors. The Mandal also has a senior citizens group that provides elder members an opportunity to lead an active life here in the U.S. Anyone who is interested in learning about the ethnic culture of India can join regardless of religion, gender, caste, region or national origin.
