The India Cultural Association of East Alabama was formed in the year 1985. Since then the community has grown to include more than hundred families and around two hundred-fifty students.
Objectives: To concern itself with the welfare of persons of Indian origin and others to help and become a part of the mainstream of the American life
To promote and disseminate cultural, philosophical and educational ideas
To facilitate involvement of the members of the association in American life through charitable, educational and cultural activities.
To foster friendship and understanding between people of Asian Indian origin and others.
